Senior Corrosion Engineer

Location: Libya

- Minimum 10 years working experience in oil and gas industry. - Must have sound knowledge about corrosion mitigation strategies, such as cathodic protection, chemical treatment, coating application and material selection. - Comprehensive understanding of design, commissioning and trouble shooting C.P. related problems. - Strong command on dealing and solving day-to-day corrosion problems related to oil and water injection systems. - Reviewing fields corrosion reports and issuing technical recommendation as per international code and oil industry practices. - Ability to investigate and prepare technical reports, for issues related to CP system interference and corrosion problems. - Able to prepare scope of work for fields chemical trials and assessment for the chemical trials. - 5 years experience in a multi-cultural environment with extensive experience in the training of local nationals. - Computer literacy: Microsoft Excel & Word. - A high standard of safety awareness.CORE SKILLS: - Team Management: Able to fit into a multi-cultural team. Well developed coaching skills. - Interpersonal: Capacity to develop good working relationships with superiors and subordinates within the organisation. - Complex Problem Solving: Systematic approach to troubleshooting and diagnosing problems associated with CP and corrosion aspects. - Self Management: Able to adjust priorities in a changing work environment. Must be able to work without direct supervision. - Communication: Excellent communication skills are required to function in this multi-cultural environment

• Prepare scopes of work, for new requirement in CP system design, which will be forwarded to vendors and contractors.
• Review contractors and vendors scopes.
• Review and make recommendation in relation to pipeline intelligent pigging.
• Interpretation and application of Engineering schematics and diagrams related to CP system.
• Maintain effective performance measures for all CP systems.
